He wrote about James Baldwin, William Faulkner, John Lewis and David Halberstam. 

In 1828 when Jackson won the election, a new era started where the people were not a distant elite. When the Jackson years began, he worked to give voice to the hopes and fears of the people. He awakened the nation and encouraged them to stand against the threats abroad.
